Delivery by weight - £40 per 1000kg or part thereof - see your order weight here >>
We think that it is the fairest and easiest way charging the average cost we get charged for sending out pallets. This applies to all pallets send between Northern Scotland and Southern England. We get charged by the pallet by our couriers and have worked out that £40 is the average what we pay for all pallets sent. Doing it this way enables us to work with a flat rate charge which is fair to all and helps to avoid upsetting people by applying surcharges for different postcodes.
All website orders are delivered by our partner couriers, not our own drivers.
Your goods are delivered on a pallet, the footprint of which is usually approximately 1.2m x 1m. The height of the pallet depends on the products you’ve ordered but may be up to two metres high. The maximum weight of a pallet is 1000kg.
Our pallet courier will normally deliver your order on an 18 tonne lorry with a tail lift. This is a size similar to an Oil tanker Lorry. This means your property must be accessible to a large vehicle. If an Oil tanker can access the house then an 18 tonne lorry should be able to as well but it will be up to the driver to determine this. As a guide, please check the measurements given on this page.
The driver may not be able to access your property if there are:
No. The driver is contracted to deliver to the kerbside only, so it’s up to the individual driver if he/she is able or willing to wheel the pallet closer to where you would like it. The drivers are on a tight schedule and won’t always have the time to spend wheeling the pallet long distances, onto driveways or into garages etc. Pallets are also very heavy and the driver will not be able to wheel a tonne of wood fuel on anything other than flat, level concrete or tarmac. It isn’t possible to move pallets on gravel, grass, cobbles or slopes.
No. The driver is contracted to deliver the pallet to the kerbside only. They will not be able to help you unpack the pallet and put the briquettes away as they are on a tight schedule. If you’re worried about being able to unload the packs yourself, you may want to arrange for a friend or relative to be there to help you.
If your delivery doesn’t go accordingly to plan because of access restrictions to your property, and you have not told us about this when ordering, the haulier will recharge for a second delivery. Any additional costs will be charged to you, so please make sure you are happy that a large vehicle can access your premises and that you understand delivery is kerbside only.
Waxling packs are usually dispatched the next working day after we received the order and will be delivered by Parcelforce usually 48 hours after dispatch. In case that you are absent the delivery person will leave you a note of where your parcel has been left or where it can be collected.
For palletised deliveries, standard delivery usually takes 2 - 3 working days from dispatch. Remote areas may take longer. If you require delivery on a specific day, please let us know this when ordering. All deliveries will be made between Mondays and Fridays only as Saturday deliveries are expensive and cannot be covered by our flat rate delivery charge.
For pallet deliveries, we provide you with your consignment number and the contact details for your local delivery depot as soon as we have your order send off. The delivery company will then contact you to arrange the delivery with you. You can tell them your requirements and if a specific day suits you better.
Please note: Orders for local deliveries should be placed by phoning 01307 462361.
The map above shows our £20 delivery area
We will deliver Briquettes and Firewood logs with our purpose-built pick-up truck to your door. £20 will be charged per load in order to cover our cost. Firewood will be tipped, and briquettes and pellets unloaded by hand. We will assist where we can to deliver as close as possible to your wood/pellet store.
Our vehicle is limited to a payload of 800kg, so therefore we won`t manage to deliver full pallets of briquettes or pellets in one go but would need to do two deliveries with a second delivery charge. Therefore, ordering one of the following might be your best option:
• 800kg of fuels instead of i.e. 960
• 2 x crates logs (2 x 400kg)
• 1 x crate logs (400kg) + 40 x 10kg (400kg) packs of briquettes
• 80 x 10kg packs of briquettes (800kg) or 80 x 10kg of wood pellets (800kg)
• Larger orders, e.g. full standard pallets of briquettes (1000kg), would be delivered and charged as two loads (£30).
• Local deliveries cover the following towns and villages: Alyth, Bankfoot, Birnam, Blairgowrie, Bridge of Cally, Burrelton, Caputh, Clunie, Coupar Angus, Dunkeld, Forneth, Guiltown, Kinclaven, Lethendy, Murthly, Newtyle, Spittalfield, Stanley, Wolfhill.
• Deliveries to other areas are negotiable but may incur higher costs because of the distance.
• Delivery prices on this website are the only valid ones.
• Please phone our office to arrange local delivery. All website orders are sent out via our National pallet courier, not using our own drivers.
